Palm trees iced over, fish were frozen solid in the seas and birds could no longer take flight. To safeguard his empire, the Snow King set up a palace on the edge of this arctic wasteland and built a chain of 60 puzzles meant to stop even the wisest sage from reaching his castle and breaking the spell. In Arctic Quest , you set out to solve the puzzles, each of which takes the shape of an animal or other tropical wonder.
As pieces of ice fall from the sky, you must grab them with your mouse, rotate them and place them on a grid, filling in the shape and returning warmth to the island bit by bit. If the waters that surround your once balmy home fill up with unused ice, your quest will fail. As you set off to bring the animals and plants back to life, your mission is made more complicated by the inclusion of new elements: Fire can melt off the ice shards, ruining all the hard work you have done in a level in the process.
Water, on the other hand, can speed up gameplay by filling in the empty slots in the inlay grid. As you clear each region your progress will be recorded on a map and at the end of the game you have the option to update your score online to see how you fared against players from around the world.
